BrokerCheck is free to read. This page explains how the site earns money and how that relates to what we write.
Affiliate links
BrokerCheck is owned by TRADE-REX e.K. and may contain advertising, sponsored content, paid listings, affiliate links or other forms of monetization. We use affiliate links whenever possible, so it is safe to assume that a link to a broker, prop firm or platform is an affiliate link.
If you click an affiliate link and then register or make a purchase, we may receive a referral fee. In the code of the page, these links are marked as sponsored links.
Paid and sponsored content
If advertising space, sponsored content or paid contributions appear on the site, they are clearly marked as paid or sponsored. Remuneration we receive may influence the advertising content, topics or contributions on the website, which is why we keep that content labelled and separate from our reviews.
Ratings and reviews
Our ratings and reviews follow the published methodology. Our evaluations of brokers are independent of any financial compensation from brokerages. For prop firms, affiliate compensation is not part of the score calculation, and commercial relationships are disclosed separately from the criteria.
The same criteria apply to every broker and every firm, whether or not we have an affiliate link for it.
Honest and transparent presentation
We believe in honest, sincere and transparent presentation. The views expressed on the site are those of its authors, and we only endorse products or services that we believe merit it.
What you can do
- Read the methodology before you rely on a rating.
- Check claims, statistics and offers with the provider itself.
- Compare several providers before you decide.
More detail is on our affiliate disclosure page, and the way our content is written and checked is described in the editorial policy.
