Take Profit Trader in a nutshell

Take Profit Trader offers a futures Trading Test on a monthly subscription with no time limit, followed by a simulated funded PRO account with an 80% profit split. Test fees start at USD 150 a month, trading is limited to CME Group futures, and the live PRO+ account is by invitation only.
What we like

No time limit on the Test

The Trading Test has no deadline and needs only 3 trading days, so a trader can work towards the target at their own pace.

Best-day rule does not fail the Test

Breaking the 50% best-day rule raises the profit target instead of failing the attempt, and funded accounts have no consistency rule.

No day minimum or payout cap on PRO

PRO has no minimum number of profitable days and no maximum payout amount, at an 80% profit split that rises to 90% on invited PRO+ accounts.

Many platforms on two feeds

CQG and Rithmic feeds open TradingView, NinjaTrader, Tradovate and eleven Rithmic platforms such as Quantower, ATAS and Bookmap.

What to watch out for

Monthly billing until a pass

The Test is billed every month from USD 150 and a failed attempt does not cancel itself, so the trader has to cancel it.

Fee on small withdrawals

Wallet withdrawals of USD 250 or less cost USD 50, which takes a large share of a small payout.

Flat by 4:55 pm ET

Open positions are closed automatically at 4:55 pm ET, so nothing can be held overnight or over the weekend.

Long restricted-country list

The firm restricts a long list of countries that includes Vietnam, Turkey, South Africa, Nigeria and the Philippines, and a VPN blocks registration.

Take Profit Trader suits futures traders who want a subscription with no deadline and a funded account that can pay from the first day. The cost is a monthly fee that runs until a pass, a one-time activation fee and trading limited to CME Group futures that must be closed before 4:55 pm ET. Check the restricted-country list and the balance needed for 80% payouts before buying a Test.

Test and PRO accounts are simulated, and the live PRO+ account is by invitation only.

What are the Take Profit Trader challenge rules?

These rules apply to the Test and to funded accounts unless a row names one stage.

Trading runs from 6 pm to 5 pm ET, and open positions are closed automatically at 4:55 pm ET.

Positions cannot be held overnight.

Missing it does not fail the Test; the profit target rises instead, to more than twice the best day.

How the stages work

Trading Test

The Test needs at least 3 trading days and has no time limit and no daily loss limit.

The maximum loss trails the end-of-day balance and stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance. Touching the minimum balance, realised or unrealised, liquidates the account.

The subscription cancels automatically after a pass. A failed attempt does not cancel it, so the trader must cancel manually.

PRO account

A passed Test leads to a simulated funded PRO account. Activation costs a one-time USD 130 and PRO has no recurring fee; some promotions waive the activation fee.

The PRO drawdown equals the Test drawdown but trails intraday, and it also stops at the starting balance. A PRO account can be reset up to 3 times at the prices above.

PRO+ account

PRO+ is a live-market account for traders Take Profit Trader invites. It pays a 90% profit split, uses an end-of-day drawdown and has no buffer.

Refunds

The Terms of Service say a purchase can be refunded within 72 hours if the account has not been used or traded. The refund is the amount paid minus a USD 75 fee.

Account limits

Traders can run unlimited Tests, hold up to 5 active funded accounts and activate up to 10 passed Tests every 30 days.

Reported pass rate

Take Profit Trader says 36.22% of Trading Tests were passed between 1 January and 31 December 2025.

How do Take Profit Trader payouts work?

PRO accounts can request withdrawals from the first day, at an 80% profit split.

Profit split

PRO pays 80% of profit to the trader and PRO+ pays 90%.

When withdrawals open

Withdrawals open from the first day of a PRO account, with no minimum number of profitable days and no maximum amount.

Balance needed for 80% payouts

Payouts at the 80% split begin once the balance reaches the starting balance plus the maximum drawdown: USD 26,500 on the 25K account, USD 52,000 on the 50K account, USD 77,500 on the 75K account, USD 103,000 on the 100K account and USD 154,500 on the 150K account.

Buffer after closure

Take Profit Trader says that 50% of the buffer can be withdrawn after the account is closed.

Payout methods

Funds move from the account to a wallet, then to a bank account, PayPal, Wise or Routable.

The name on the payout method must match the account holder.

Payout speed

Take Profit Trader says transfers from a Tradovate PRO account to the wallet take seconds, and a wallet-to-bank request can take up to 12 business hours to approve.

Withdrawal fee

Wallet withdrawals of USD 250 or less cost USD 50, larger withdrawals have no fee, and PayPal may add its own fees.

Identity checks

Identity verification is mandatory before purchase.

Restricted countries

Take Profit Trader publishes a long list of restricted countries that includes Vietnam, Turkey, South Africa, Nigeria, the Philippines, Pakistan, Russia and Ukraine.

A VPN blocks registration, and a trade placed from a listed country triggers a restriction.
